Lomman Industries was formed as a family partnership in 1979. Laurie Lomman, the former senior partner, had operated his own irrigation business for some 20 years, specialising in the Virginia and Adelaide Hill areas, servicing market gardeners and orchardists. Laurie has since retired.
Sons Roger and Wayne were registered master plumbers at the time and elected to join the irrigation business and today are involved in all facets including design, supply and installation. In 1987 the business gained another partner, Brenton Sims, who had previously worked in sales and design at Hardie Irrigation for 15 years. Brenton’s specialty is irrigation design, having overseen Hardies irrigation design/training office for several years in the early ’80’s.
Think Water Adelaide (previously trading as Lomman Irrigation Pty Ltd complementing the merchandising firm Lomman Industries until April 2015) was formed in 2004, as a supplier of ‘turn-key’ irrigation and Water Management Projects and supplies a broad range of general irrigation and water management products.
In 2021 Brenton, Roger and Wayne retired and the current directors steering the business forward are Luke Behn and Kylie Sims.

Now with requirements across Australia to have water meters installed to prescribed water sources such as dams, rivers, and bores. All installations need to comply with AS4747 and all installed water meters must be pattern approved. We can offer a full service from consultation to select the correct size and type of meter, supply of required equipment, installation, maintenance, and completion of relevant paperwork by a qualified licensed person.
